Turkish Delight

European club scout Leighton Wilson has returned back to Wales after watching Turkish batsman Ali 'Shish' Kebab in action. Following a tip-off a few weeks ago in Aberdare Charcoal Grill, Wilson headed out to Turkey on his scouting mission codenamed 'Operation Chilli Sauce'.

'I tracked the guy down to a bar in Bodrum. After watching him play cricket for the local team, I was sold straight away. He hit a superb 94 off 14 overs and was heading for a century after smashing a massive 6 but it was caught on the boundary by some bloke who was 8ft tall. I approached Ali after the game and spoke with him and his agent', said Wilson.

Negotiations were soon underway as Leighton Wilson explained the interest shown by the Welsh club. Upon arriving back in Wales Wilson told the website that he felt confident that Ali would sign on the dotted line after asking for a few weeks to ponder over the move.

'He even posed for a picture with the club shirt' said Wilson. 'That says it all to be honest, and for me at least that means it's a done deal.'

More news on the signing to follow.
